Kelsey’s Answer
Any college that supports the foundation of what social work is: Social work is providing assessments, interventions, and case management support to individuals, and group members with complex psychosocial or economic problems. Demonstrating skills consistent with serving culturally diverse individuals in low and high social-economic status as well as services to underrepresented populations. Comprehension of Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Analysis, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Intergenerational Transmission of Trauma, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Perspective, and Empowered Theory. Maintaining professional boundaries and effectively communicating with clients and agency staff. Collaboratively working well as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing groups, individuals, home-based, residential treatment, case management, and crisis intervention services to diverse populations.
