The most important study would be private vocal teaching (or group if you can't afford a private teacher). Vocals is a very delicate instrument that you have to know how to use even with talent or else you can ruin it. Then the next most important step is to start singing with other bands/groups. Join a choir or a band, or a music workshop and expose yourself to challenging new music styles. Getting your ear to a good place where you can really hear harmonies and can follow the band members well is very useful too.

Depending on what type of musician you would like to become joining your local theater group to gain some experience would be a good start.

I'd say pick a style you like best first. If you don't have one yet, look into different singing techniques that each style requires and maybe pick the one that comes more natural to you. Perfect those techniques and then expand your skills to different styles and genres. Once you get a hold on music and feel like you can really express yourself with music, start getting into music theory and writing techniques, and have a great time!
