Hi Mia:
There are many resources out there to help educate you on finances from books, podcasts, YouTube, etc. Here's some information to help you get off the ground with your research in addition to already mentioned items.

Hi Mia,
College is a great place to learn about finance by way of taking structured courses. Fortunately, you do not have to wait until college to start your "out of the classroom" learning. Some great places to seek out financial information and current events are through reputable sources such as the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance, and Bloomberg (just to name a few!).
Additionally there is a lot of content, in the form of podcasts, that is widely available and easily digestible. I recommend doing some listening and reading to find out what aspects of finance you find most interesting. While there is no shortcut guarantee to becoming rich, a fundamental understanding of accounting and finance can help put you on the right track.

Hello Mia! I first started out working for a bank. Even with no banking background (I had some retain customer service and HS diploma at the time) you can start out in customer service. That alone will give you a glimpse of part of the banking world. Understanding how checking/saving works, loans, mortgages, etc. Depending on how well you do, you can work your way up to sales or supervising others. With getting some hands on experience some community colleges offer evening classes or day and you can take some accounting classes to earn some credits.
