Regarding the Navy side of things:
Go to military.com and do a bit of research; make a list of questions. Look to see what jobs are offered by the Navy that you might love, and find out what scores on the ASVAB test you will need in order to qualify for those jobs. (Do not go in as undecided or undeclared about the job you want! No matter what.)
Talk to a Navy recruiter. Bring your mom/dad, (or aunt/uncle/brother/sister/cousin/best friend/trusted enemy...), just bring someone with you. Ask questions, take notes.
Talk to friends/relatives and find someone that has been-there-done-that and get their advice. There is a ton of information out there but ALWAYS keep in mind the source, no matter if you are looking online or talking to a person in real time, face to face. Everyone has a point of view and you should take all points of view into consideration.
Whatever you do, give it time and a solid chance, but always remember that no job has to be forever - you can change careers in a few years if whatever choice you make is not fitting you in the way you thought it would.
Best of luck to you!
