The pharmaceutical industry is HUGE. There are many roles in the industry. I personally work in Clinical Operations, where were oversee the activities of clinical trials. In my field, there are people with Associates degrees, to Bachelors, all the way to PhD / Masters / MBA. I also see people who have pharmacy degrees, as well as MD. The degree you need really depends on what role you want.
Hope this helps!

Glad to hear you are interested in the pharmaceutical industry and you'll be pleased to know that the opportunities for a broad-ranging career are numerous. I personally entered the pharmaceutical industry after undergraduate education through an internship. Following the internship I was hired on a technical level where I gradually grew into a more senior position. Through further education (which the company paid for) and development opportunities, I have changed roles a few times and am now a manager of other scientists. Many employees follow varied paths throughout their careers. There are many areas of a pharmaceutical company that a person can explore including business, law, science, marketing, etc, so the possibilities are endless.
