Hi Nyeleti!

It's great to see that you are self-aware of what obstacles you may face in your path to becoming a lawyer. If you are talkative but shy around new people, it may be beneficial to take a public speaking class or two about how to best approach talking to new people. You will probably be meeting new people every day as a practicing lawyer, and it would be to your advantage to get ahead on working on this skill! Your passion for justice and law will be what drives you to become a great lawyer, and there are no faults in your personality, just things you can work on to be the best you can be :)

Hope this helps!

Shreya’s Answer

Hi Nyeleti! There are aspects of the legal field that are a fit for every kind of person, including if you are talkative and shy around new people. My recommendation would be to do some research into areas of law that aren't as front-facing in which you would frequently have to speak publicly or interact with many people on a daily basis., because typically most attorney's would not need to do so on a day-to-day basis. Your passion for the legal profession is what will drive you in any aspect of it, and I highly recommend you identify your strengths to see which area of it will best suit you and your needs :)

Best,
Shreya
