Hi,
My understanding of your questions is that you want to become an assistant to a manager or private person.
I that case I would say you have to be well organised because you would need to be able to capture a lot of information in very short period and you need to do something with it in that very same short periode. I'm thinking of booking flights, getting coffee, organise a meeting or event, answering the lawyers, ...... You also have to know as much information you can about the environment of the person you are working for like what does he/she like, what does he/she dislikes, what is the best way to calm him/her down in a stressfull day, how can you help from your competence and knowledge, ....
A personal assistant can be a very stresfull job, but can be very satisfying as you can be helpfull in a lot of cases. Whatever person you are working for, keep in mind a personal assistant is a job and not a way of living. You need to be treated with respect and make sure you keep your personal life healthy as well.
Good Luck.

If you are early in your career and mapping out your journey on to becoming a 'good' executive assistant, why don't you put in that dedication and work in becoming that Executive yourself! Don't settle for good, aim higher!
Nothing is out of your reach, if you have determined to put in the work.
