Molly’s Answer

This is a common struggle and may never go away. I turned 40 several months ago and still don't know what I want to do when I grow up :)

When it came time for me to commit to a major in college, I studied the Occupational Outlook Handbook to understand which careers would have plenty of jobs in the future, paid well, and didn't require more advanced degrees. Check it out: https://www.bls.gov/ooh/

Nicholas’s Answer

When going into law enforcement, many degrees can be helpful! I would encourage you to pick a major you enjoy in case you decide that your career path changes! If you really want a degree to go into law enforcement or investigation look at Criminal Justice Programs, Pre-Law Programs, or forensic science programs!

Nathan’s Answer

Andy, it sounds like you have a pretty good option in front of you! Don't feel like you need to have that pinned down right now. Many people don't figure out what they really want to study in college until after a couple of years. Typically, your first year or 2 in college is comprised of a lot of general education classes. Try to figure out what you really enjoy or are interested in and take an introduction class, if possible, early on in your college career, to see if you think it's something you would enjoy. Keep an open mind and you'll be able to start narrowing things down. Good luck!
