Do you know of any helpful test taking skills for science in particular?

In many of my classes I am able to grasp and understand the concepts we are learning. In fact, taking one of my recent classes as an example, I was very successful with the daily 500 - 600 word responses, midterm paper, and the final paper, however I struggled with the final exam which contained a few multiple choice questions and many short answer questions. I would like some tips with regards to how I can preform better overall on exams, so that the test scores can better reflect what I know. #science #teaching #professor

Yes. Copy all your lecture notes with precision and neatness. Use a standard outline form to organize them. Do all the work problems in your texts and workbooks until you can do them without looking up the formulas. When you can, read pertinent articles from the bibliographies in your texts. Keep a laboratory notebook so you can understand what you did when you read the text and notes about the subject.

I taught science in college and in high schools for 15 years. I taught "how-to-study" science along with the curriculum.

Good luck.
