My husband did not play football, but Rugby as a professional and if you asked him the life of a professional athlete is a lot of hard work, dedication and love of the game. Even in the off season you need to train and stay fit and focused. But first, since I'm not sure of your age, talk with your coaches about your abilities and talents and what you need to work on to become a better player. If you're in HS, than colleges would likely be scouting from the time you are a Jr. and finding the best college program for you is important. You need something to fall back on, should you become injured or if the Pro's just aren't in the cards for you.
