There are a lot of different types of nurses that require specific educational requirements. Nursing is a rewarding field and is currently in demand and will probably be for the near future as well.

Nursing assistant (CNA)
Licensed practical nurse (LPN)
Registered nurse (RN)
Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs)

If you are looking for the standard designation for nurses, it's RN (Registered Nurse) and NP (Nurse Practitioner). There are multiple jobs in nursing with specific titles and I've included them in the link below.
