sal’s Answer

hi there! great question. The salary range for an animator is broad ranging from about 50,000 to 120,000. This depends on the Business size, etc. I would recommend getting a certification, maybe search for interns, online classes, these things stand out to employers. Especially if you are coming in as Entry Level. Great Field! Good Luck

Tyrie’s Answer

Hi Evelynn,
Love this question! I am not an animator but I know someone who is (works for Pixar)  Animators can make low $46K – high $69K depending on location and title.

Here are somethings to look into:
- Dedicate time to develop your skills
- Create an awesome portfolio
- Get a variety of work experience
- Explore animation classes and programs

I visited Pixar to see where the magic happens and it was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had. The work space: they had built individual work stations to look and feel like you were in the outside world (but in an office). I mean one office was built to look like an inside of a plane that landed in the jungle.
