Dan’s Answer

If you are going into medicine as in medical school, the most important aspect to maintain is patient care and empathy. You can become a master at diagnosis and treatment but never forget that you're treating live complex human beings.

Rebecca’s Answer

In my experience studying to go into healthcare, the most important thing is to give yourself grace. Yes, the classes and topics and studying are essential and don't overlook that, but don't be too hard on yourself. You will encounter HARD classes and subjects that are known to weed out students. The grade is not what makes or breaks you. It's important, but you will never succeed if you're too hard on yourself. Allow yourself time to rest and relax when you can't study anymore. Exercise, spend time with friends, learn how to maintain your mental health through de-stress activities. If you are mentally healthy and allow yourself grace when you fall short of your expectations, everything else will fall into place.
