Graduates of a gerontology degree program apply their specialized training in a broad range of careers that assist older adults. A bachelor's in gerontology provides the foundation for positions as healthcare administrators and social workers in medical centers, residential facilities, and social service agencies. Whatever the intended career path, earning a gerontology degree demonstrates you share a genuine concern for maintaining the health, productivity, and independence of the aging population.
Limited availability in Cape Cod, MA. You may have to look at other locations.
Good Luck!

There are no 4-year colleges or universities on Cape Cod. If you want to be close to Cape Cod then there are some options that might work for you. I would recommend the University of Rhode Island. It's near beaches and close to the Cape. They have a number of majors that might be a good fit, even if they aren't dedicated to geriatric studies. There are several majors in the biological sciences , if you are interested in the medical or research areas of gerontology, a major in Health Studies and one in Human Development and Family Science . Look at their website and see if there might be a major that is close to your interests.
