You can really discover this major will open up doors to almost any industry. You can go into public speaking (TED TALKS), politics, TV broadcasting, sports broadcasting. Almost every business industry, whether you go into the banking world, accounting, consulting, sales, etc. The majority of high level executives are extremely good communicators. You can become a teacher or go into public relations. It's really your choice of industry.

There are plenty of opportunities for Communication major such as public relations specialist, politician, event planner, news anchor, HR Manager, brand manager and other which requires good skills in public speaking.

There are a number of great career choices for a Communications Major as this is a degree that is applicable in so many arenas. That said, one career path that I would suggest looking at is Sales. Sales as an industry is often overlooked and downplayed in its importance. This is in part because of the stereotypical used car salesman persona that people envision when they think about sales. The truth in you are probably interested in a Communications degree because you enjoy interacting with other people, negotiating, establishing relationships, and helping others. This is a great way to describe "sales".
There are sales roles in virtually every industry and company so you are able to follow your interests well into your career. There are many sales methodologies, and different industries handle their sales needs in different ways, but every company needs someone to articulate why a potential customer should consider their product or offering. Sales has had such a poor public perception that true sales roles are often hidden behind different tiles like - recruiter, lobbyist, activist, evangelist, advocate, etc. Looking under the surface these are all sales roles that require the skills you obtain in a communications degree. Also, good sales professionals can make a great deal of money - and that is always a nice benefit.

I want to add that so many different companies in different industries seek communication professionals. Positions would include public relations, corporate meeting / event planner, employee resources group coordinator, investor relations speaker to name a few. If it's for a health care company, bank, car manufacturer, on-line retailer, law firm, etc,, they all need communication professionals. As such, the position is very much transferrable cross different companies in different industries. A great benefit!
