What is the daily life of an NBA trainer and on average, how much is compensation a year?

I am a ninth grader at the moment and I sleep, eat and breathe basketball. I love basketball, but my parents want me to become a doctor, so I want to pursue this career and get the best of both worlds. #career #medicine #sports #basketball #trainer #cultural-training

I have a daughter that played basketball was hoping for a schlorship for the wnba this did not materialise she used the boys and girls club of America she had a coach that did not get paid. I would listen to the parents. However, if you are you get a scholarship in basketball then I say go to college for whatever you want to take, be happy do not drop out for basketball Scouts get the players from the college basketball. You must play for a college to go to the NBA Are you asking about coaching others or playing professional basketball? A nice compensation if you are good. I say if you want to be a coach that is not much pay, however , at best part time work for a trainer to help others to learn to play ball. The pay could be lavish depending on your customer base you must build a repore with. You will need to market your self, have a federal I.D. number this is income you must report for tax purposes, then I would start this as a hobby first then build on the dream. I never say cant you can do what you set your mind to do if you want it bad enough.

Hi Tamir,

I had a coworker whos son works for the Portland Trailblazers. He loves the job as he is able to work closely with the athletes and stay close to the game he loves. The hours can be weird depending on the game schedules ands season but he loves the game and the process. He was a collegiate athlete at a smaller school and knows he never would have made it on an NBA squad but this allows him to use his passion for the game in a meaninfulway and stay close to it.
Most NBA trainers earn a salary in the mid $50K's so while that is a decent pay from someone right our of college, Like he was, its not a massive salary either. But this can be a way to get into the business side of the profession and potentially advance into more lucrative roles. the best Trainers who work with the super-stars can make a lot more.
