Austin’s Answer

Hi there, Max!

Most hiring manages are mostly interested in whether or not you're a good fit for the position. Good grades can help qualify that, but they aren't the only thing that matters.

It's great that you have such an involved hobby like cooking! If you haven't yet, I would encourage you to think about where you would want to take it.

Do you want cooking to stay as a hobby?
Do you want to find a kitchen to work in and work your way up while learning on the job?
Do you want to attend a culinary institute and find work as a professionally trained chef?

All of these are options are perfectly valid. I wish you luck in figuring out what you would like to do!

Samantha’s Answer

It helps to get good grades. So when you decide what you would like to do for a career you have options on where to go. Also if you have good grades you can qualify for scholarships as well.

I think most community colleges will accept you even if your grades weren't the best. Community college is easier than a university, so that could be a way to start over and get your grades up before applying to universities.

Rawan’s Answer

High grades open more doors for you to choose a major or speciality. However they do not define who you are or the career you want to pursue. Besides good grades, the right candidate for any job must have a set of required skills and qualifications in order to fit, be sure to work on these too!
