What's one of the best jobs to do from joining the navy, and how would you know if you want to do it for the rest of your life?
I am 18 years old and I want to experience a different course in my life and to travel the world while learning how to sail a ship. #Navyfederal

Hi Elias!
Getting your education and picking a career isn't much different in the navy as it is for non military. In the navy, you can be an electrical engineer, a doctor, administrative, HR, an educator, etc. And probably a few things that you can't do as a civilian.
The beauty of the Navy is you can learn while you're getting paid! And as you said, you can also travel. My brother n law was in the service, had a great career, traveled all over the world, raised a family and retired in his 40s. Now he's on his second career and doing very well!
So the question is, what do you want to do? What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? There is construction, law, finance, engineering, the medical field. You can do anything you want to in the navy.
Have you taken an inventory of your skills and strengths? The first thing to do is talk to the career counselor at your high school.
Hope this helps!!
