Can I be a police?

So I'm thinking about being a police, but I have asthma. What are the requirements to be a certified police? I am worried that my asthma would get on my way. I deeply love risking lives, doing challenging things, investigating a crime, searching for a lead, etc. I'm a woman, I have asthma and I can't run that much because of it. I deeply worried about it. What trainings are given to be a police? How many years am I going to study for it? #police #police-officer #police-field-training #police-academy-training

Good question. At any time, up to 20-25% of the us Olympic team has asthma. If having asthma does not prevent you from being a top athlete,it definitely should not prevent you from joining the police force.
Its an inspiring thought indeed for you to become a police officer being a woman and that too with asthma. But I would definitely want to keep you informed that It is very unlikely that you will be medically suitable, if the diagnosis is correct. As a general duties police officer you will be required to undertake significant exercise or exertion without warning and without the opportunity to use inhalers. You will be required to perform your duties in a wide range of climatic and atmospheric conditions that might provoke an asthma attack.
