Karina’s Answer

Learning a foreign language is quite helpful. First of all some universities/colleges have languages as a general requirement when you apply, but it depends on the course that you choose. Also it can make your application more competitive in general especially when it comes to internships later on.

Kelsey’s Answer

Take a foreign language in high school helps in a number of ways. For starters, many colleges require learning another language as part of their general requirements. Colleges let you test out of this requirement, which saves time and money.

When you apply for a college they will see a copy of your transcript, so the classes you take do matter. Colleges want well-rounded individuals, and taking a more difficult elective, like language, shows you are willing to work hard.
