Katherine’s Answer

Hey! I have always liked the interpersonal relational aspects of psychology--the psychology of family relations and navigating life in various arenas like the workplace, church communities, or parenting, etc.

I like reading books by authors like Cloud and Townsend, the Gottmans, Les and Leslie Parrott, Gary Chapman, Ross Campbell, John Gray, John Delony, Terry Real and others who write books to help people be their best and deal with difficult people and scenarios.

Jessica Sera’s Answer

Hi Beth,

I am most interested in developmental psychology. Since I am curious, I love learning more about the stages of development as people grow up. I am interested in identity development including cultural identity development. Two psychologists that studied identity development are Erik Erikson and James Marcia. Their work with development is very intriguing!

I have worked with preschoolers, elementary school students, high school students, and college students, and I find it fascinating how individuals act the way they do depending on their age and growth. I look forward to learning more about development and how to cultivate growth in individuals depending on their stage of development.

Good luck!
