What do you do a forensic psychologist?
I am a current ninth grader who has an interest in the forensic psychiatry field and would like to interview a forensic psychiatrist on his/hers/their work for a career blog assignment in my class. #psychology #forensics #mental-health #psych #criminal-justice

forensic psychologists often examine individuals,situations, and clues to better understand criminal motivation and behavior. daily tasks often involve conducting interviews, making observations, and performing research

Hey Alisen, that's so great to hear! I am not a forensic psychiatrist, but I'm close with people in the forensic industry. One thing that they've found success with is contacting your local sheriff's department, or even nearby sheriff's department, and ask if they know someone you can talk to. That way you can get a little bit more local (and most of the time, more personable) contacts. You can also inquire about volunteer opportunities. You can also try and find contact info for the medical examiner's office and contact them more directly.
