Does being a school psychologist increase your stress levels?

It may seem as if listening to people's problems every day could have a negative effect on your life since people will most likely come to you because of negative things happening in their lives. #psychology

Great question Evely.

First of all you will need to be passionate about being a psychologist; it will help if you start to become overwhelmed. If you decide that psychology is a field you would like to pursue here are a few things to keep in mind to deal with stress or work demands.
The key is to pay attention to balance in work, rest and play. Make personal and professional self-care priority. Attend to your physical and spiritual well being, as well as your emotional and psychological health.

Take regular vacations.

I hope this helps!
