Puja’s Answer

The reason I am a working professional and continuing my job is because it helps me in staying self dependent and financially dependent.
I get to work with different types of people around the world and learn new things.
Regarding happiness - that's a tricky question, everyday is different whether you have a job or not. So relatively I am happy. Also, world has so many options out there, so if someday I dnt like the job I am doing, I would try to make it better or look for better options.
Our happiness is in our hands and we all have good days and bad days. So I try to learn from my bad days and be greatfull about good days.

Most of the people who loves a job needs to be Engaged , Feel accomplished, Action oriented ,Motivated and learning new things .
In the current situation a Job and a workplace is the easiest and common arena for those. On top of that it also helps us to be self sustainable and live our life confidently.

Happiness - For me its always a choice - Happiness is a choice - You look for it and you will find it . Its up to each and every individual to learn and practice how to be happy in our daily life.

Roshini’s Answer

Having a job to me is about being able to make a difference with my skills. It is also about being able to be connected to people outside my regular social circle, and keep learning and applying new skills. I am actually really happy in my job, not all days but I have more happier days than non happier ones :) The days I feel like I have accomplished one or more things makes me more happier. I really believe in the saying "an idle mind is a devil's workshop", and if I am not working for an extended period of time, it is super hard for me to find ways to effectively use my time.

Cheryl’s Answer

For me, having a job means being able to serve food on the table for me and for my family, to buy things my family and I need, seize an opportunity to share my talents and skills.

Am I happy? Yes, I am because my happiness is being able to serve my family and to share what I have and what I know to other people.

Having a job and making ourselves happy may be connected to each other but a lot of factors will have to be considered like job vs career (this is a different topic) and happiness in life vs happiness in your chosen field of endeavor.

For some, their jobs are necessary evil. In this scenario, we can assume that they are not happy with what they do. Probably it is a role mismatch.

Cheryl recommends the following next steps:

Try searching for the difference of job vs. career.
Also, make a vision board of the things/events that will make you happy.

TJ’s Answer

Having a job gives me the ability to use my strengths, talents and abilities that contribute to a business and the employees. It also presents opportunities for me to learn new things, different perspectives and interact with people who I would not normally come into contact with. Having a job also gives me a sense of fulfillment and purpose. And, it also affords me a great lifestyle, home and ability to take care of my family.

Allysia’s Answer

Hi Angel, for me, my job is a way for me to follow my interests and find a way to contribute back to society. My job as a marketer enables me to explore creative and exciting ways of telling my company's message and how our products can benefit our customers. It gives me the chance to work with many different people and to learn new things everyday. Overall, I am happy with my job as it not only provides me financial stability, but also aligns with my interest in creative work. Like all things in life, there will always be good and bad aspects of a job. However, I think what's really important is to be open-minded to learning and follow your interests.
