Hi Sofia!
The short answer is yes, however, to become a certified Cosmetologist the requirements are different by state. In general, you would need a high school diploma or GED, cosmetology training courses and supervised experience to take a cosmetology licensing exam. Be sure to check your state's Cosmetology Licensing Board for approved training programs.
Good luck.!

Hi Sofia,
Make sure to also check the state board of cosmetology for other states you might consider moving to in the future - often, states have different rules so you want to be sure you understand how you can transfer your experience to a potential new destination.
