Choosing the correct course is very important for you career and future and for you of course. The best way to know what you really should do is knowing the briefs about every course you're interested in specially the difficulties that one face in it. For example if you like nails and forensic and is confuse as to what to take. Know the difficulties of these jobs, like in forensics you have to be mentally strong to see different disturbing scenarios on a daily bases and for being a nail tech you have to be very patient and listen to every Karen about something so if you think you can handle the Karen's go with the nail tech option and vis e versa.
Hope this helped 🌚

Anna Carolina’s Answer

The best thing to consider is what you are most passionate about! Which of these career options can you see yourself doing in 20 years? Realistically you may not be able to shadow someone in each of these career fields, but you need to think of the nitty gritty of these jobs. For a forensic scientist, will you be okay around dead bodies? For a nail tech, will you be able to deal with difficult customers? For a nurse, are you okay around blood and vomit? You need to think about the difficult situations that these jobs may bring and figure out what you personally are able to deal with.

Krista’s Answer

I would consider job shadowing to narrow down what you would enjoy doing. I would also encourage you to look up jobs in that field to see how in-demand that type of job is, as well as what jobs are available in that field. It could be a rude awakening to go through a ton of education when jobs in that field are scarce. Also, some careers might be considered glamorous, but until you see what a person in that field does day-to-day, you won't truly know if the job is for you. For example, forensic scientists working with tissue/bodily fluid samples are in the lab all day and work to run PCR amplification, DNA tests and report the results, but they are not the people putting all of the pieces together to actually solve the crime. Job shadowing is a no-cost way to really decide what jobs you can cross off your list vs the ones you would really enjoy doing. Hope that helps! :)

Jim’s Answer

You want your career path to be three things, ideally:
1) Something you love to do
2) Something you are good at
3) Something you can get paid for

1. Shadowing, internships, etc. are great for number 1. Make sure you'd really love the day-to-day.
2. Realistically, how good are you now? How much education and/or training will it take to develop the skills you need? Are you up for that amount of work and investment?
3. Just know the realities of the money you'll make going in, and make sure that'll support the lifestyle you want to live.
