What kind of careers can you pursue with a biochemistry degree?
I enjoy biology and chemistry and math and plan to pursue a biochemistry degree. I'm not sure I want to be a doctor, but maybe something in the medical field in a different sector. I'm an athlete and considered physical therapy, nutrition, or something in the medical research area. #teacher #guidance-counselor #career-guidance

Alayna,
I'm not working on that area, but I believe you have lots of career possibilities as a Biochemistry. Cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, biofuel industries were the first that came to my mind, but for sure you will find others. I'm sure that you will choose one that meets your personnality and where you can develop all your potential.

Congratulations on your choice of field. I know many who have gone down this path and they are often some of the smartest most well rounded individuals I come across.
To answer your question: While there are certainly a multitude of well paying jobs you can pursue with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry, I think the true value in these fields would be to gain a graduate level degree. A master's degree or PHD in pathology for instance can you lead to a great career in pharmaceuticals or a research role in academia you can grow and build for 10+ years to establish your vision. These are the people the world turned to during the recent Pandemic for their expertise.
Best of luck!
