Hi Julina - search for the state board of cosmetology that you want to work in - many states have different requirements in terms of hours and testing, and likely will also have a list of local schools that are accredited and provide the appropriate training. Many junior colleges offer cosmetology school, and there are also private schools (Redken, Paul Mitchell, and Aveda all have cosmetology schools as well!)
In addition to owning your own shop, another great pathway is to join a union so you can work in theater and on television / film. Check out IATSE for more information. Learn what you can about wigs if this is interesting to you :)
