Hi. I used to be a professional actor and I know work in Talent Acquisition for Verizon. You don't "need" anything to get started as an actress. But you have to have the opportunity to actually act and get paid for it, which is hard to find.

Hi Janaliz,
I hope you are doing well. Since you are still a student, I would recommend taking a theatre class in school and then also take additional acting classes in your spare time. Then, I would research open acting roles and start attending auditions. Once you start landing roles, you can begin building your actor's resume/calling card and then hire an agent to represent you.
