Vikas’s Answer

Hello Juan,

Welding is a great science !

The most related jobs related to Welding & Metal Works are - Welder, Metal Works Helper, MIG Welder, Fabrication and Casting, Metallurgical Works, Mixing, Furnace Operations, Piping Operations, Metallic Plumbing and Shafting, Metal Setting, Mining Operations, etc. - to name a few.

Often, heavy industries and metal works companies require welding jobs, for example ship yards, mining companies, etc.

Typically, a diploma along with related work-experience is required for such jobs. Try to enroll for a diploma/ short-term courses with Engineering/ Technology Institutes in your area/ country where they conduct work-shops and related short-term courses related to welding.

I hope this answers your question, do not hesitate us for any further questions.

Thank you and all the best !

Dennis’s Answer

Juan C. - You ever wonder if welders and artists have a common trait? I have good friends in both Industries; both doing well and they get along great, so you do see something common.
It will always end up your passion for (????) will take over and pretty much make your final decision for you but while we are on the passion hunt, lets compare:
First decision is work stability starting out - artist either invents themselves (poor) or works steady hating the cut and paste job in advertisements : not much glamour - steady but makes ends meet. Then you launch, you hit a national campaign, move up to creative editor, designing, creating , etc - life is heaven - approx 12 years.
The welder joins the union immediately, takes as many different projects that come in and gets his craft where it looks like glass - the perfect bead. Now follow what the previous advisor suggested and get some classes behind you so you can - weld under water; #1 highest paid, weld aluminum ; 150 people in the world can do that right; hard work while you tour the world, takes around 12 years.
Both fields are powerful
PASSION will decide - Good luck amigo
