Shri;
While becoming a professional artist may be your primary goal. You need to have a plan on what you will do to live comfortably until you can reach some of those milestones required to be a professional artist. With today's technologies there are plenty of opportunities. For instance designing graphic T-Shirts may be a way to help sustain a comfortable living while expanding your abilities.

Hi Wisdom,
Glad to hear that you enjoy creating art and that you're looking into art as a career.
Professional artist is such a broad job title. Artists work across many fields from fine art to industrial design to movies and video games.
Start by thinking about the type of art that you're interested in. It sounds like you enjoy drawing and possibly illustrating. Do you also enjoy storytelling? If so you might consider storyboarding for movies, television, video games, or comic books. Other illustration careers include concept art, book and magazine illustration and things along those lines. Fine art is also an excellent option.
Attending an accredited art school will provide you with opportunities to learn more about those careers and possibly get internships.
Art schools will also help you to refine your skills and help you to work on a deadline.
I hope that this helps out. Good luck.
Research specific art jobs and industries: movies, games, etc
Research at schools and find out what kind of internship and Carter placement resources they haves
