Hi Shimaa,
Since you wish to learn English, then read books written in English and practice speaking English with friends and family members. No doubt, you've learned that it's a difficult language to read, write and speak because all the rules don't apply to the speaking and spelling of all the words. Regarding scholarships? We don't know what will occur regarding education in our universities. The tuition could rise even more because of our president-elect. So you might want to consider European universities initially. The hieroglyph might be easier to study.
Best luck,
Mark Wagner

Hi Shimaa!

The best way to improve your English language skills is to engage with people who speak it better than you can. Talk to the reference librarian at your local library to locate groups and organizations to which British and Americans or other English speakers are likely to belong and attend. Look for groups and organizations that have an interest area that you share. it could be academic, social, recreational. or other. This would not only help you with the language learning, but ii could also allow you to increase your circle of friends and have fun at the same time.

Sanvi’s Answer

Hi Shimaa,

I had been through the journey of appearing in IELTS and trust me it is not as tough as it looks.
If you really want to improve on your english to be able to crack these tests, you must focus on all 4 aspects of it - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
So, lets take these one at a time:
1. Listening - Make sure you watch english movies without subtitles and hear english songs. Try to understand each word clearly. Per my personal experience, it becomes boring to intercept books and audio tapes but it becomes easy to listen to songs and movies and understand.
2. Speaking - Try to talk to yourself once in a day in front of a mirror. You are your best judge!
3. Reading - Read novels, newspaper and solve some exercises based on paragraphs.
4. Writing - Write more and more! This will definitely build your vocab as well because when you write you have time to think about different words and know more about the language. You can try to write letters to your friend or just in general write about the way you feel or how you spent your day.

Hope this helps! I am sure you'll be able to crack these exams with flying colours! All the best!

Serena’s Answer

Hi Shimaa,

write as much as you can about the topics that you are interested in and that you like the most, that will help you to improve your writing skills. Maybe not as quickly as you think, but it is absolutely true that if you do something regularly, it will lead to appropriate results.

The process of writing cultivates our imagination. It deals with the structure of the language and raises your grammar and vocabulary to a new level.
