Hi, I am glad to hear you have passion and good at communication. These are essential elements for all kinds of careers. I think all jobs or even your study have pressure. We should not view is completely negative. It is also an incentive for us to improve. The question is how we can live with it, manage it, use it in positive side, etc.
When you find yourself under pressure, you can o exercise. Exercise pumps up your endorphins and can help you to relieve. I understand sometimes it may be difficult to find the time to do exercise when you are in stressful situation. It is more related to time management especially you are under stress. You need to put down the schedule to ensure you have sufficient time to rest and do exercise. Otherwise, you cannot cope with the pressure.
Hope it helps! Good Luck!

Yes! Working under pressure is a really important skill to have. While it may seem daunting, here are a few tips that have really helped me:
1. It's easy to feel overwhelmed so I like to physically remove my hands from my keyboard and look away from my screen for a few moments to calm my nerves and slow down my mind
2. Prioritize your work. Think about the most important tasks you need to complete. You could also prioritize the tasks that are easiest to complete so you can feel a sense of accomplishment and boost your confidence/morale!
3. Don't be afraid to ask for help. This won't be seen as a weakness... everyone finds themselves in these situations! Your manager/co-workers are there to help you but won't know you need help unless you tell them!
Hope these tips help!

Yes, we can work under pressure. And we can work productive as well.
It is sometimes (or most of the time) overwhelming with all the various tasks at hand that we need to complete. To overcome that the key to me is control, focus and communication. First lets step back and look at all the task you have at hand, set the priority and estimate how long you need to complete. If you can't set the priority, talk to the stakeholder or your manager. Look at your calendar and schedule what you plan to work to complete the tasks. The next thing is also important: focus. Do one task at a time, and stay focus to work on that one task. Make sure you work as per your plan in your calendar, if you need to adjust the plan, do adjust it, but make sure you are in control. If you need to adjust the priority, speak with your stakeholder or your manager. Provide the clear status to them, communication is always the key. Even if you have challenge on completing the task, do communicate with clear status information and if possible provide options you can think. They may even provide help or guidance to you.
Good luck!

Absolutely you can work under pressure! The fact that you are asking is promising in itself as you seem to be anticipating the reality of todays fast paced job environment. I can share with you what works best for me under pressure:
1. Time management becomes crucial, so to make sure you are utilizing your time in the best way I suggest using google calendars (super easy to use) or an agenda and get organized.
2. Don't let the pressure get to you. Definitely recognize it is there in the form of deadlines and superiors expecting results etc., BUT ask yourself "What is in my control?". If something is not in your control, let it go, focus on what you CAN change and effect.
3. The previous point ties into this, tune out distractions. This is huge. Put your phone in the other room, allow thoughts about various things that pop up in your head throughout the day go by with out getting too caught up in them, let people around you know your busy etc.
4. Now that you know what you can control and work on. You have taken steps to tune out distraction. Focus on ONE task at a time and give that task your undivided attention and immerse yourself in your work. You can enter an amazing flow state and you will shock yourself with how much you can get done at an amazing pace.
Good Luck!

The answer of mine is yes.
Actually most people are working under pressure now, I'll encourage you to jump out of comfort zone, try to challenge the limit.
But don't forget to balance work and life. Believe you can do it.

Hi Rachel. What I can tell you from my experience is that being organized, well-prepared and focused really help during times of high pressure in the job. This allows me to block out any external issues that might distract me and it helps me stay on task. To be more specific, if I have a deadline to meet for a project, I will block out certain times of the day to work on the project and then other times to check emails and respond back to co-workers or clients. I keep distractions limited as a result, and I'm much more efficient with my time. This gives me confidence to be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

I agree with many of the other responses - the fact that you are aware of the potential impact of pressure and are proactively inquiring about it is a great start. The biggest things that have helped me are awareness and prioritization. By being aware of what's going on around me or what's "coming soon" helps, but also being aware that new an unexpected things can and will happen has also been important. By being aware of and okay with change and the unexpected, I have learned how to better manage things and ultimate focus on prioritization. In a corporate setting, going slow before I go fast has helped. Instead of trying to complete everything at once, and quickly, I've learned that stopping to assess the priority and urgency of something has helped much more! Best of luck!

Yes! I find that I'm actually more productive and do better under pressure. No matter what you do, you'll probably have to work under pressure. You just have to figure out how to create motivation for your self instead of falling to the pressure. Push yourself to achieve your goals, even if that means there's a lot of pressure behind it. Don't be afraid!
