Is it worth applying to a joint BS/MS program after already receiving your BA?

Some graduate programs only offer the joint program. They happen to be much longer since they are joint programs. However, many programs only offer a regular MS degree. #psychology #graduate-school #occupational-therapy #masters-degree #speech-pathology

Hi Debra!

If you have already received your Bachelor of Arts degree, or on your way, I would not recommend a joint program. I would however recommend a joint Master's and doctoral program instead. That can also be costly and lengthy, so deciding exactly what you would like to do with a Master's degree and which area would be helpful. I personally would recommend having two Master's instead of two Bachelor's degrees. I hope this all helped some! Please fee free to reach out with any other questions!

Debra Z.,

If you already obtained a BA, I would definitely not recommend you obtaining a joint BA/MS degree. Many schools offer a sole MS degree, without imposing you apply for a joint program.
I, personally, would not apply for any joint programs, as you may want to further your education elsewhere, change your focus, etc.

I hope this helps!

Best of luck.
