There are many options for cosmetology schools. There are large brands like Aveda and Paul Mitchell for example that have locations around the United States. There will also be smaller, local schools in your area. My best advice is to go and visit multiple schools. Ask about their programs and see if they will give a curriculum outline, interact with the people there and see if they are positive interactions, what their options are for paying for the school, the cost of the school, what their late/ missed days policy is, and what days/ times of the week will you be attending the school, and their options for working on real clients/customers. Depending on your age, there are also programs offered during Junior and Senior year of high school where you can spend half your day at a career center in the cosmetology class. After you collect your information from all the schools you visited, make your decision on what is best for you!
