what software can I use to record what I play on my laptop?
Im looking into becoming a youtuber and I want to record things on my computer but I dont know what recording software to download, any options? #youtube

Hi Dion,
A lot depends on if you are simply streaming, or eventually doing editing. I use OBS on mac for streaming which is a free software. You can export to a movie file from there and it can be used in any editing program. If you have a mac, iMovie can be used for basic editing but you may want to look eventually at a paid application like Adobe Premiere.
You will also want to get familiar with Photoshop or some other sort of program for image editing and creating since you will need that to make thumbnails for your videos.
If you are using a mobile device you may want to look into Kinemaster to edit your video.
Also, if your plan is to be a gamer Youtuber than you need to add an additional element of capture cards and large store hard drive or external drive for all your captures and streams.
