Biotechnology will be next phase hot area, as creatures are most complex thing which you will work on ,
but keep in mind keep the nature peaceful and protect the creatures is the destination , don't go wrong.

To gain more experience in this area , you 'd better study maths, chemistry subjects hard in school, so when you graduate , you will have the chance to choose famous institute, as research in this area need professional guidance and also experiment instruments.

RAVI’s Answer

Biotechnology has been advancing at a rapid pace just like many of the technologies. It requires lot of knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, electronics, computing, imaging technologies and of course it might involve quite a bit of Math. Biotech is all about how to pull all this knowledge into understanding a bio problem and creating a technical solution to overcome it!.

I am not sure if you are in high school or already in college. Either way, books, libraries, professors, Biotech companies, and networking with Biotech professionals are a good start.

I will focus on the Biotech companies and professionals as I am sure you are already familiar with how to get in touch with the others!

1. Read and research on Biot tech companies on their web sites, news media, - pfizer, Biontech, Eli-Lilly just to mention a few. There are 100s of small companies which are doing a lot more advanced work in the field. You can search on Google, Yahoo Finance for hot Biotech companies.
2. Research on these company websites themselves and their news releases.
3. Locate leading universities in Biotech fields. Georgia Tech, Rice, MIT, etc
4. Review and research leading Hospital web sites - Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic etc as most of the research is worked through the hospitals.
5. Enroll into LinkedIn, search for Biotech professions, connect with them and see what goes on in their lives regularly.
6. Research job descriptions for Biotech openings in Linked in and other job sites.

Internet is a wide open resource library. Sometimes it is difficult to get the right stuff because of all paid advertisers skewing the view. If you skip through the first several links you may actually get some genuine links leading you the way.
