How do I start training my vocals?

I am a novice singer/guitar player. I write my own songs and I have a passion for music. I've been singing for as long as I remember. #music

The best option is to find a vocal coach or a professional to teach you how to maintain and grow your voice. This is VERY important. Without proper training you can strain and potentially damage your vocal cords. A solution could be to look up online tutorials and videos of warm-ups and training. While this is normally the most cost efficient method, you do not get the one on one training that you can get by hiring a vocal coach.
