You can apply to work in Software companies as student. Usually this jobs are paid as student jobs, but they give you great opportunity to experience how does it feel to work for a company, what is the work life like, how is a company organized and gives you inside in different areas that you like. The best thing about software is - it is everywhere in the world the same - so you can go even to another country.
As well you can create a LinkedIn profile, write the subjects you are very good at and what are you looking for. Do as well actively contact people to ask for opportunities.

You definitely will get help and there are many career options for students graduating in computer science. You need to start with putting yourself out in the visibility through career sites like LinkedIn by clearly listing down your skills, strengths and all other details. There are many organizations that offer internship that will help you get exposed to the real work and also helps build your network in the software fraternity.

You can always create a profile in linkedin, join a computer related networking professional organization, IEEE comes to my mind or any local COMPTIA chapter in your area. If you are into software there are many professional organizations like Microsoft, Google, Cisco, etc...locally where you can sign up and join. That is the best way to network and get to know folks in the computer industry.
