I think most jobs will adjust their pay based on cost of living. So if you think about a salary of $50k in Dallas, in San Diego, that may be higher and in Iowa, that may be lower. I would focus more on what you are passionate about and lean in there - the money will come

A good education! Period.
However there are various trade and vocational jobs you can apply for without a college degree or certificate. It's just faster and easier when you have a good foundation.

Hi Judi - I totally agree that education whether its vocational or academic is super important but it doesn't answer the question. Are there specific careers that really thrive in SD?
