Hi Jakayla,
Cosmetology school is a trade school and it is typically not an accredited institution (none of the courses you take can be transferred as matriculation over to a 4 year college or university for getting a bachelors degree). These schools typically focus on beauty and grooming, like makeup, hair, nails and facial and skin services. They may also include microblading (tattoo) eyebrows, fake lashes or extensions, etc. One example is the Vidal Sassoon hair school called the Sassoon Academy. While cosmetology can be a rewarding profession, it could also be very competitive and unstable since you may work part-time for low pay until you can establish a regular clientele. This field is growing and it's quite rewarding, but if the economy is down, then the reality is that people might spend less on beauty and luxury services.
