Hey Nyquasha!
Interesting question! For the most part, salaries will depend on position, location, and skill level. You can find a range of pay here:

It will also depend on your clientele. The larger the case, the larger your pay day will be. Divorce court is quite tense since you are involved in a situation where both parties don't get along. Good luck!

Nyquasha,
I commend Taylor's answer to you. It is a good one.
Practicing Family Law takes a special kind of person. Often it involves not just the disposition of property and assets, but the custody and care of children. Successful Family Law attorneys have the unique ability to feel and show compassion to their clients, who are often going through very difficult times, while yet being able to not internalize their clients' problems. If you can do that, and if you work hard, you can be a very successful Family Law attorney. And in general, successful attorneys are well compensated for their skills and efforts.
On the other hand, if dealing with emotionally-charged situations and anxious clients is difficult for you, and if you can't help but internalize your clients' problems, you probably will not like practicing Family Law. If you don't like it, you probably won't be very good at it. If you are not very good at practicing Family Law, you probably won't be very successful at it. If you are not very successful at it, you probably won't be compensated very well.
I hope that perspective helps.
Warmest regards,
Glenn
