If you love animals, I'm sure it is a very rewarding career. As with many non-technology focused science jobs. Job opportunities are not as abundant as you might hope. But don't let that discourage you if it is something you love.

To become a zoologist, you will need a bachelor's degree for entry level positions, a master's degree for higher level work, and a Ph.D. is needed to lead research.
