What is the average number of years to go to college to become a beautician?
I would like to know how many years I will have to study and train before actually starting the job. #hair-stylist

What a wonderful career choice you are considering!
The amount of time to obtain your beauticians license varies from state to state.
For instance, the state of California is 1600
Hours. That is roughly 9 months. This is one of the states that requires the most extensive training.
On the other hand, New York requires 1000
Hours.
Keep in mind that each license requires different hours.
Manicurist , Estechician, barbers , each have different levels of training.
But in general requirements are a matter of months ,not years to reach your goal.
Contact the state in which you live for the required hours to obtain your license .
It's possible to attend classes at community college ,night schools and beauty colleges !
This has been a very rewarding career for me!
