i'm no chef but looks like youre in NYC? You can walk to any street and introduce yourself as free labor in exchange for an internship. Any restaurant will be thrilled to have you these days due to labor shortage. Just physically walk to a restaurant and ask. It can be that simple. You ay get advice to go another route but youre in NYC, go talk to some owners and managers. The act of doing that alone will be a learning experience.
best of luck!

Reach out to restaurants that offer the type of cuisine you are interested in to let them know you are interested in learning everything you can and would love to intern with them. You might try do a Google search for Culinary Internships near me as well.

Why do you want an internship? Restaurants are a great place for people in high school to work. The hours are flexible and typically work really well as an after school gig. An internship is experience based learning. I highly recommend just going to I started a restaurant you like and try to get a job there.
I worked at a big chain restaurant for many years. I started as a server, eventually became a bartender, trained in the kitchen to help cook when it got busy, worked as a new employee trainer.

I've always wanted to be a chef since I was taught how to use the stove. I love being in the kitchen and trying new things and expressing my emotions through taste, texture, and flavor. I love the home feeling that the kitchen brings once I'm in there, so I figured I've looked for a place to hopefully gain a summer internship to gain some real-life experience, I also want to go to programs and college for it. Hopefully one day I can open my own restaurant also thank you for the advice
