How many accumulated years is it to become a licensed and board certified pathologist?

Hello! I'm trying to figure out a few different career paths to look into, but I'm starting out to see the ones I have chosen, and what is required with them, Meaning years of college, training, as an assistant, etc, and how the people who work in those jobs feel about them. I do have multiple questions. I'm going to be asking these same questions to multiple sorts of careers I am interested in.

1.) Do you like your job, or do you regret choosing it? If you knew before entering your career what you have known now, would you still have chosen to do your career, or picked something else?

2.) (Mainly for the few jobs that may need this question, I apologize if its uncomfortable.)
Do you feel mentally drained after being in this job, because of what it entails, and your experiences in it? Has it had an impact in your mental state?

Final question, I'm sorry for asking so many.
Do you feel you worked hard for a good reason? Do you feel it is a good career to retire on?

Thank you for listening!

In India there are too many colleges who provide pathological course.

You may complete your course either choosing
1. The 4 Years of Bachelor course in pathology or

2. Two years of Masters course in pathology after Bacholrs in biology.

Zohra’s Answer

Hi Bridgette,

Becoming a pathologist can require 11 years of education, including four years of college, four years of medical school, and a three-year residency. It will take even longer if a person pursues a pathology subspecialty after their residency program.

Hope this Helps and Good Luck!
