Will salaries in the computer science industry increase or decrease in the future?
Since computers are so common nowadays, will computer jobs receive less pay because of more workers or more pay because the industry is still growing or has the computer science industry already plateaued? #computer-science

I honestly believe that it will rely on the complexity of the job you are being asked to do and the demand for it, so it really can't assumed for the whole industry but rather what skills you spend your time learning. If you find your niche in the cutting-edge technology then you stand to put yourself in much higher salary positions if it become common practice to use that high-level entry skill. As a whole, I would say that since we are increasingly more digital and intertwined with technology, the average will go down but the niche skills will pay more because companies NEED to keep up with the times in tech fields. Now more than ever.

Good question. I am not entirely sure and no one can tell for certain. In my experience the industry is growing rapidly and has definitely not plateaued.

In my opinion I believe that it will go up based on the huge incentives that people have placed into certain fields within computer science such as AI, virtual reality, robotics, web3, cryptography etc. There will also always be a need in my opinion for people to move themselves digitally as the pandemic has displayed as well as with the last 20 years with access to the world wide web, information sharing is really powerful, and the ability to be able to connect to people around the world is a very powerful tool that can take a small team to generate large sums of money that were not possible before.
There are also certain fields that are expected to grow due to the sheer amount of volume and demand that has been transferred to these services, one of the main ones in my opinion currently would be cloud computing as a whole, along with some other I mentioned above. In the current field their is a really high demand in particular for senior developers, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case with junior developers. I expect as time goes on this will only increase even in the wake of things like no code as there will always be a need for someone to be able to maintain that code, or to do some level of customization that is not capable with that technology, or is but requires strong knowledge of how it works.
