There are many ways to look for work.
1. Are you a college student ? Check with your counselor or professors to see if they have opportunities to do work there.
2. LinkedIn has a jobs postings.
3. There are sites like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, SimplyHired that can be helpful
4. Even sites like Facebook and Twitter have job postings

There's lots of opportunities online. Here are a couple ideas. Some great skills to start are video editing. You can start messing around with canva for example or powtoons and make a few instructional videos (about anything). Post them on youtube and build your portfolio. You don't have to become famous on youtube but then you can approach businesses etc and show them that you understand the flow of making a video and posting it to youtube, etc. Offer to make some videos for their business either for their employees internally for "onboarding new hires" for example, or for their main webpage...do some research and see if their videos could use touching up, etc. Converting people technical documentation to digital content, etc is also a constant demand from growing businesses.

After you look at the requirements in the job description, try to match experience from your volunteering or work placements when applying.
