How can I manage time effectively?

I am a junior in high school and one skill that i need to grasp is time management. I ask this because I still need to learn how to finish my schoolwork on time but also still want to participate in many activities. I believe that time management skills will also help me in the long run so I believe that making a habit of these skills will be better if I start early! #college #student #time-management #high-school-classes #personal-development

Hi Jamie,

This is very important topic and You are very aware of Your strong and weakness as I can assume in that one question. Things with time management aren't like very ease - a lot of adults have that problems, but You are in better position as You have already start thinking on how to improve that. Firs of all things are changing during the days and weeks and so are prioritets.
And here is very important thing: You need to have priorities and a list of things TO DO. List can't be too long it need to be accurate to the time that You have. Don't forget to have time for rest it's also very important.
What I can suggest You listen to Brian Tracy - Time Management it should be helpful at the beginning :)

Thanks,
Agnieszka

Hi Jamie,

This is a very good question and many people are having the same issue when it comes to allocating the right amount of time to whatever they have to undertake on a daily basis.

As far as i'm concerned, i believe that it's very important to have a to-do list. every day i write down what i have to do. It can be a professional task or a personal action i have to hundle. Now, it is important to write down actions that you believe are feasable during the time frame you allocate to them, try to keep it simple and realistic.

when writing down your to-do list, it would be good to write down the timeslot that you believe the actions will take. if you go overboard then either move one of the remaining tasks to the next day or split the last task into two timeslots.

time management is about commitment, you can manage your daily tasks efficiently as long as you organise them properly - i'm certain you will do a great job and hats off to you for starting the work on your time management on an early stage.

Best of luck Jamie :)

Cheers,
Yassine

You have to set a routine for yourself and stick to it for the most part. Once you get into the groove of a routine it will be much easier for you to manage your time and have enough time for everything you need to do (including relaxing). Make yourself to-do lists on a weekly basis, use Google calendar or a planner to keep track of events, deadlines, and due dates. In addition to setting a routine and sticking to it, plan out relaxing activities into your day. Or set aside a time, after everything is done for the day, that you can have "me" time. I have also personally found it essential to not only find time for myself but also make use of that time in a way that is best for me and my holistic wellness. I have found the HeadSpace app to be an essential tool in helping me relax and generally feel more relaxed throughout the day, Guided meditation, even if you have a busy schedule, will make you feel more at ease and relaxed throughout the day as a whole (not just when you have the time to relax and focus on that "me" time).
