Hello Voc,

I just want to say I don't have direct experience with this but my sister did attend school for cosmetology and in her time there they did not cover much on the business management side. It could be dependent on the school but I know for my sister she took classes on her own to be able to run her own saloon. I think for her it was better to separate the two learnings so she could just focus on one thing at a time but everyone is different so keep options open.
